Our Age Friendly Approach

Clarion in one form or another has been providing social housing for over a century. In that time we have seen a great deal of demographic change, including population growth, an ageing population and a significant increase in the number of single person households. Our Age Friendly Strategy seeks to ensure our homes and neighbourhoods are designed and managed to accommodate these societal changes, and allow people to live fulfilled, happy lives in their own homes for as long as possible.

Our overarching mission is to enable people to live well in our communities. We will do this by:
• Designing and building schemes that enable our residents to live longer, healthier, happier lives.
• Ensuring residents have the right home at the right time.
• Empowering residents to shape their lives and communities, no matter what age.
