These regeneration projects represent a huge investment of time, money and energy by Clarion and the communities we are working with.
What is Social Value?
We need to ensure that investment generates as much benefit for the community as possible – not just new homes and public realm improvements but also employment opportunities, training for young people, and support for community groups and activities. We call this Social Value. Clarion includes Social Value targets in all our contracts.
Maximising Our Impact
Across our regeneration programme these activities generate many millions of pounds of additional benefit for communities and individuals. The performance of our contractors is monitored against the targets they are set (e.g. apprenticeships created, community groups supported, training provided) every month. We compare the performance of contractors and projects to make sure every project is fulfilling its potential.
