Eastfields start on site
15 Mar 2024
We are delighted to announce that the Eastfields estate regeneration began the construction stage in January 2024. This is a significant milestone in the £1.8 billion Merton regeneration project. Once complete, Eastfields will have 800 new homes along with leisure and community spaces. Phase One will provide 32 homes for our current residents, of which 22 will be for social rent. The 32 households will move into their new homes by 2027.
To mark this milestone, our Chief Executive Clare Miller and Group Chairman, David Avery, were joined at the site on 18 January 2024 by Councillor Ross Garrod, Leader of Merton Council, Councillor Andrew Judge, Cabinet Member for Housing and Sustainable Development and representatives of JJ Rhatigan, our contractor.
Eastfields is part of our £1 billion Merton regeneration project, which will replace 1,000 existing homes and construct 1,800 new homes across the Eastfields, High Path and Ravensbury estates. So far, we’ve had 102 residents who have already moved into new homes in High Path and Ravensbury.
